Mississippi GEAR UP Partnership has partnered with The Princeton Review Tutor.com. This a service that is free to the cohort of the MS Delta GEAR UP Partnership students. Tutor.com provides 24/7 tutor.com and homework assistance and so much more! Using the link below students can access their account and start using tutor.com now:
Education happens within the context of a larger community. Our approach extends beyond the school to help ensure students have the necessary support to do their best learning.
Empowering students for a brighter future
Students receive support through in class and extended day tutoring and homework assistance, mentoring, and career and college exploration, including postsecondary campus visits.
School districts provide activities to assist students with college applications and FASFA completion.
Schools provide at least three family events per year to increase knowledge of postsecondary options, academic preparation and planning, and financial aid and scholarships.
Benefits to Students and Families
GEAR UP offers school districts and educators federal funding to establish a college-going culture, primarily through early intervention, rigorous academic support, and professional development. It strengthens school-wide capacity through mentoring, tutoring, and college-preparatory, community-based solutions.
